This is a 2-hour training program we conduct for sexual harassment prevention. This training satisfies mandatory state training requirements and helps in preventing discrimination or harassment from occurring at the workplace. A key takeaway from this program is the awareness for managers/supervisors who may not know that their actions could be construed as harassment. Human resource departments can also benefit from the sexual harassment prevention training by learning how to correct any effects of harassment.
WHO conducts this program?
The program is conducted by LC consultants directly to a group of employees who are in managerial/supervisory positions. Experienced Light consultants can also train human resource generalists to conduct the program to their employees.
WHAT can this program help achieve for your company?
Not only does this program fulfill mandatory sexual harassment prevention training requirements, but it also helps your company mitigate risks by educating managers/supervisors on acceptable conduct and the definition of harassment.
WHERE is this program conducted?
The program can be conducted in-person at your corporate offices.
WHEN is this program available?
Light consultants are readily available to accommodate your corporate schedules if in-person training is desired.
WHY should a company provide this training to its employees?
Employees in managerial/supervisory positions are not always fully aware of their actions, behaviors, and communication styles. Although some may not mean to harass a subordinate or co-worker, they may unintentionally create a hostile work environment for others. Having this training in place is a best practice in preventing legal risks associated with sexual harassment. .
HOW often should it be administered?
It is recommended every two years for all managers/supervisors and within 6 months of hire or promotion for new managers/supervisors. Some states have mandatory compliance. Please check your state department’s website for specific guidelines.
